Hoover Dam

This is Robby about to walk accross the dam. Hoover Dam! (he hee, for those of you who like Tommy Boy!) There is a freeway being built right in front of the Hoover Dam to create less traffic and so that they can close down the road accross the dam when terrorist threats are high. You can see the support comming through the mountain to the upper right of the picture. Me standing on the Hoover Dam with lake Mead behind me. Robby and I stopped by the Hovver Dam, Wed, before we went home. It was a great sight. They won't allow people inside the dam anymore because of 9-11. But after a thurough search down, they will still allow you to drive and walk accross it. The weather was so nargly, 105 degrees actually!

Las Vegas

New York New York! This is the hotel we stayed at, we got an "upgrade" when we checked in, to a pretty great room! This will be the Trump Tower when it is finished. The Circus Circus hotel had a theme park INSIDE of it, Robby really liked this one, he said his dad would have really liked it too! Treasure Island I thought these boots were funny, they made me think of Daddy Bull. Ahhh, Paris We ate at the Paris buffet, it was amazing and had so much good food, we were both a little sick from the glutony. The Bellagio was our favorite hotel/casino. At night the lake infront of it would put on a show with lights, music, and water every fifteen minutes. Sometimes the water would shoot 150 feet in the air! We had to of watched like 15 shows at least!
MGM MGM had lions inside of it! Harley Davidson Cafe picture, dedicated to Uncle Jackie, Uncle Bill, and the newest motorcycle member in the family, Rhett! Hi! Well, here are some of our pictures from the trip. We had a wonderful time. We spent most of the time just walking around and looking at all of the casinos. It was like being in Disney World! Every place had its own theme and it was all so huge and glamorous. It is so strange, I mean it is in the middle of a desert, a DESERT!

Hi, So Robby and I are leaving tomorrow to go to Vegas! We are pumped! I worked some extra shifts this week to pay for the trip and we even bought tickets to Cirque Du Soleil's Love! I have tried this new link post to the Left of the blog above the archives. You should be able to just click on the bullet that says Cirque Du Soleil Love, if it doesn't take you directly to the link, right click on Cirque Du Soleil Love and then click "open" on the drop down list. (Clicking on the picture will NOT take you anywhere!)This link takes you to a You Tube that shows an awesome preview of the show! I hope everyone has a great weekend. We will be sure to post some fun pictures and stuff when we get back. ~ Dea

Las Vegas here we come!!!!

Hello everyone!
Robby and I have decided to go to Las Vegas next week! We are really excited about it. We have booked 4 nights in a hotel on the strip and we are going to hopefully go see Cirque du Soleil's Love. On the way out there we are planning on stopping by to see the Hoover Dam. I am also extra excited because the hotel we are staying at is hosting Bodies, The exhibition. I know that is so gross to some of you, but I can't wait. I guess it is just a medical thing, but I can't wait to see the anatomy and learn some stuff. Anatomy classes at Auburn just weren't that great. Not like UAB.I mean, comparing human anatomy to cats, come on! I don't know if I will be able to get Robby to go with me, but that's cool, he can do something else while I am there. Anyways, I just wanted to update everyone on what was going on. We are jut working right now. I worked Fri, Sat, and Sun and I work tomorow and Wed, so I have to go get some stuff done. Love you guys, Dea

2 new additions to the family

Our new Orchid (the little pink thing to the right is my new cell phone..ooooo, ahhhh!)! It stays in the kitchen The spiral rush plant Hello everybody! Well, Robby and I are finally settled into our new place! We actually decorated this one! It's funny, when we first moved out here we were so freaked out about earthquakes that we didn't put anything on our walls! That was crazy! We just don't need to put up anything above our bed or that might kill us if it fell on our heads!!! Ha, so anyways, we even bought plants! Last weekend Robby and I went to my favorite farmers market and ate lunch. We also bought some yummy fruits and veges while we were there, but the best thing we bought was our first plant! It is an Orchid! It started blooming for us yesterday! Then a couple of days ago I saw this crazy plant called a "spiral rush" and I loved it. Rob says it reminds him of me...hmmm... but it really is the coolest plant I have ever seen. I have no idea why we are into plants right now, maybe it's a step closer to kids!! Just kidding, but hey you know what people say (wait, was that plants..or pets...??)! Speaking of kids, I am having a lot of fun at work right now with all of my preggy friends. Everyone is about 7 months now and it really is a hoot sometimes. We have been having a lot of lunches and parties, I sure will be sad when they are gone though. Come August I will be the only "baby eligable" one left! Rob's work is going just fine too. I think he is a bit board, he says that there aren't any people his age in the design department to talk to. We have decided that there must have been some train we forgot to jump on that took all of the 20 year olds in Berkeley away after they graduated! Let's see what else can tell you guys.. Robby and I are looking into taking a trip to either, LA, Las Vegas, or San Diego in a week or so. All three of those places are less than a days' drive from home and we had worked out our schedules to have a chunk of time off for some visitors who can no longer make it out here, so it kid of just works out. We are planning on staying for a couple of days. If anyone has any ideas about which place would be the best to visit let us know! We are open for ideas. Well, I guess I will go now, I really don't have much else to talk about! Love you guys ~ Dea

Our new apartment

This is our little green house. Come to find out our landlord's mom lives above us in this tiny tiny tiny place. It is called 379 1/2 ! There is another apartment building behind ours, it is somehow attached, but just weird... it's hard to explain! This is the front yard of the house, where we get our mail. This is my favorite plant! It reminds me of some exotic bird or something. The flowers around our house are so beautiful! I think it is just really easy to grow stuff here!
This is our kitchen. Robby made me the table so I could have some more storage! I think he did a pretty good job on it! Now I am standing behind our table in the kitchen looking towards the front door (it would be to the right). We decided to turn this into our computer room and we made the computer room an entertainment room! This is our little bathroom. Here I am standing in the front door, you can see the frame! Our computer is to the right, the kitchen is infront of you. Now behind the door to your left is a doorway that leads to the "entertainment room"! Straight infront of you down the hall is the door to our bedroom, right before that to the right in the hall is the door to that little bathroom you guys already saw a picture of! So, here I am standing at our front door looking towards Alcatraz Ave. The building to the right is the house infront of us and the gate to the left is how I get back here. Well, that is more than enough info I believe to give you guys a pretty good picture of the new place that we live in. This last picture is just a better picture of my gate. Robby and I have already fallen in love with this area. There are so many great little shops, places to eat and coffee houses around here. It is fun just to walk around and look at all of the nice houses in our neighborhood. I hope you guys get to come and visit, but if not, I will just have to keep on posting. I love you ~ Dea
