The Park!

Clara, refusing to sit on the blanket! Jack and Clara!
Johnny, pushing Jack, his first time ever in a swing!
Hollywood, Kate!
Clara and I met Johnny, Tara, Jack, Katie, Kate, and Sawyer at the park today. We had so much fun. Clara had an allergic reaction to her sunscreen and the poor girl's eyes swelled up. She was also a little blotchy, but other than that we had fun! I think Clara and Jack will be good friends. They are both pretty busy, but really happy. Kate is literally the most laid back child I have ever met, and simply adorable! Robby and I are so excited about Tara and Johnny moving to Birmingham! I think this summer is going to be filled with lots of days at the Zoo, and the park! Clara says, "Yeah for friends"!

The Magic City Art Connection is going on this weekend. Robby help with it on Friday by Volunteering at a booth in the children's section. He and some other architecture peoples made movable walls with the kids. I thought it looked pretty creative! We took Clara and went Saturday for a couple of hours. It was a beautiful day, but so very very hot (I think the summer might kill us)! We were delighted to finally see Walker, Jessica Marie, and Uncle Larry play some great music on stage. Clara rocked out in the grass to their music, it was her favorite part of the day! There was some amazing art there, Robby and I decided that when we can, we will buy art for our house from some of the vendors. We particularly liked one artist by the name of John Lytle Wilson. If we ever have a son I want one particular painting of his to hang in his room!

Swing at Mumzy and Poppies!

Clara really loves "helping" me with laundry! She is also starting to really show her personality! Robby says that she is a lot like her mommy!
Clara loves this swing! It used to be Jakob's when he was little and we brought it out and hung it up for the girl. She never wants to get out! I am really excited about this new weather, we can spend all day playing outside! I think Clara is going to have my skin, that doesn't stop me from putting SPF 80 on her, but at least she isn't like her dad. He just thinks about going outside and starts to turn bright red!

So much fun to play with!

Clara's new favorite thing to do is play in the laundry basket... and say "NO" to everything! She is so full of energy and always moving! She sits in the laundry basket and throws the clothes out to me for me to fold! The only bad part is that she freaks out and starts yelling at me when all of the clothes are folded and I won't throw them back in to her!

Traveling Ted!

Thomas, my sister's 5 year old, spent the night with us Friday night. His teacher, "Mrs. Piggy", who's real name is actually Mrs. Peggy, gave him Traveling Ted for the weekend... To Thomas this was a HUGE responsability and he was very worried about it. TT is a monkey that each weekend a different child takes home. While they are with TT the child is to take pictures of something they do, or write a story. Robby and I tried to help him, but apparently our story might not be appropriate for a class of 5 year olds........

Clara's first surgery!

This is a picture I took sometime last week! I had put Clara in the bed with her daddy while I was getting ready for work. When I came back in the room to get her, this is how I found them! Soo precious!
Clara and her daddy in the waiting room at Children's right before her surgery! (above)
Clara loves to play with baseball hats! She thinks she is hilarious! (below)
We had to wake up really early this morning to take the Princess to Children's Hospital to get her tubes placed in her ears. She did really well, honestly I think the worst part about it was not being able to feed her after midnight! She was not happy with me this morning when I didn't nurse her! She was fussing at me and pulling on me and yelling! It was quite a show! But when we got to the hospital she was just so interested in everything that was going on. She panicked when the nurse took her from me, but got over it quickly when the nurse pulled out this butterfly for her to look at! The doctor told us that her ears were still really infected today, even after the weeks of antibiotics. That was just one more thing to let me know we had made a good decision about having the tubes placed. Clara has been great all day, she doesn't even seem like she had surgery! Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!

Thomas's post-easter bunny house!

Thomas and I had a great time making this bunny house the other day! He is really good at following directions and did pretty much everything by himself! I really love being with my sister's kids! It reminds me of why we moved back here. :)

Happy Easter

Easter Morning! Clara woke up and was so excited to see what the bunny left for her! This is a new bowl she got that she can keep her snacks in. We put some animal cookies in it and she was so cute trying to figure it out! She even tried to put it on her foot! Here is the Easter dress I smocked for Clara! Isn't she soo pretty! It was supposed to be a Christmas dress, but it took me so long to make it I had to add the yellow flowers and call it an Easter dress! We spent the afternoon at Robby's grandmother's house!
Rob and Clara about to go on the Easter egg hunt! Clara had so much fun looking for eggs and putting them in her basket.
Mommy helping Clara open the eggs and see what was inside! Making an Easter bunny house cake with Jakob Finished product! My brother dressed up like the Easter bunny for everyone at my mom's house (my mother wants me to note that the brown house is where we keep my dad's tools)! It was really great!
