Valentine's Day!

M & Pop gave Clara some great surprises for Valentine's Day! She loved this one in particular! It is a glow in the dark wand! She waved it back and forth and would hold it up above her head and say " in the sky"!!!!
In the sky!!!
Clara loves these little dried apples that Tara gave her. She calls them "Smarshsmellows"!
We drove to Atlanta on Saturday to go to Ikea. For Valentine's Robby and I got each other the upper cabinets for our kitchen! We were really excited about going and picking them out. Clara going too, was not the best idea! She was so wound up from 2+ hours in the car that she was terrible! She yelled "help, help, I'm stuck" to everyone that passed us by and when we finally let her down she took off! There were like a million people there and if any of you have ever been to Ikea it is like the most over whelming place ever! It was crazy hard, but tons of fun!
These are the cabinets in the making.... apparently everything in Ikea comes in 137 pieces....
Clara loved the cookie that M made for her!
YUMMY!

The Cook!

Clara has been really into cooking lately. She "helps" mommy every night with dinner, and loves to play with her princess kitchen!

Play dough

She was so proud of herself for figuring out that mixing yellow and blue makes green! My mother introduced Clara to play dough and now she is obsessed! She is either playing with play dough, or begging to play with it! I have a video I am going to post. It is oretty long, so I don't expect everyone to watch it. It is so funny, she actually makes the different colors into "carrots" and then names them. She talks to them and has them talk to each other. She gets this high-pitched voice whenever she pretends to be something else talking. I love it.

Peanut butter!!!!!!!

Clara LOVES peanut butter almost as much as me!!!!!!!!!

So funny!

Clara just gets more and more fun to be around. She can say anything, honestly, ANYTHING! She talks all of the time. We had Natalie and Henry over for dinner last night and in the middle of dinner she announced to everyone that "Daddy, pooted"! She got the sly little grin on her face, she was so proud that she was funny. I'm not sure who taught her that.... but I am thinking that I probably have 3 little boys who Clara adores to thanks..... :)

Circus

Johnny, Tara, Jack, me, Robby, Clara!
Clara was so in to the show!
Last weekend we took Clara to the Circus with my sister, her husband Chris, Harrison, Hudson, and Thomas, Johnny, Tara, and Jack. It was great fun! Clara and Hudson probably loved it the most, but all of the children really enjoyed it. No one lost it or got scared. Clara clapped, danced, and cheered. Thomas loved the man who could walk on glass and fire, Harrison loved the "snake ladies" and wanted to know if one of them would be his girlfriend! Clara says her favorite was the Elephants and I loved the motorcycles! We sat so high up I was convinced that one of us was going to fall to our death. Particularly Harrison who couldn't sit still and jumped up 3 minutes into the show and announced that he needed to potty, but didn't want to miss anything!!!!!!!! It was just as entertaining to watch Harrison and Chris climb over everyone from 9 seats in, while Harrison screamed that he was missing the whole show!!!!! We left before it was over and grabbed a bite to eat at Moe's with Johnny, Tara and Jack. We will go again next year, but might get the closer seats!!!

My favorite parts of the day.

Finally, enough hair to fix!!! My mom says she looks just like I did.
Monkey towel... Clara will wear it around the house all day!
She loves this train!
CHEEEEEESE!
Nurse Clara
I have found that there are 3 parts of my day that I look forward to. First, is when I wake up in the morning. No matter how late Robby gets home from work, I always find myself waking up with one arm and one leg thrown over his side. It is a wonderful feeling to wake up with him beside me. The sound that usually wakes me up is a little high pitched voice talking in the other room. When Clara wakes up, she usually starts playing with her 4 special stuffed animals that she won't sleep without. There is Sandwich Cat: a multi-colored, striped, yarn-cat that we bought for Clara long before she was born, next is Pink Monkey: which was Clara's first Valentine's from her daddy, there is Ele: a baby blue elephant-head lovie with Hudson's name embroidered on it, and last is Alli: a beanie baby alligator given to us by Grant (a good friend from California). We have spent many nights searching for one or more of these prized possessions! My second favorite part of the day is when Clara wakes up from her nap. I hear the same sweet high-pitched voice playing with her four animals, but when I go to get her, I always slightly crack the door, so I can peak in on her. She is so precious when she is talking to her "friends". It usually doesn't take her long to notice that I am spying on her and she turns and gives me this huge grin and says "I wuv you mommy" as she reaches for me. It is when I feel my happiest. Then, my last favorite part of the day is when Robby gets home from work. Every time he opens the door our British alarm system says, "Garage door open" and Clara jumps up and yells, "daddy...... hide"! We always run to her room and get behind the big rocking chair. Robby pretends not to find us and she giggles and says, "shhhhhhhh" really loudly. I love it. I'm not sure what I did with my days before we had Clara.......
