Baby Joseph is here! Joseph arrived at 11:59 in the afternoon on Friday December 31 via C-section at Saint Vincent's Hospital! Because of a large amount of fluid in his lungs, he was having a hard time breathing and was immediately taken to the NICU. My surgery went as expected and I was sent to recovery while Robby went with Joseph. Joseph remained in the NICU until Sunday afternoon when he was able to come and stay in the room with Robby and I. It was very hard for me and Robby to have him spend so many nights away especially because we did not expect it at all. The nurses and Doctors in the hospital were great and did whatever they could to help us adjust to the circumstances. We brought Joseph home Monday afternoon and he has been doing great! Clara LOVES her baby brother and is being such a great helper. Joseph still requires a lot of special attention to his breathing, eating, and Bilirubin levels, but he is very strong and healthy! Robby and I have been so blessed by friends and family who have gone out of their way to help us. Thank you for your support, prayers, food, visits, gifts, and so many other acts of kindness.
